New radio series kicks off Jan. 31

If you listen to public radio, you’ll soon be hearing a new daily series of one-minute segments that will offer useful information to pet owners and animal aficiondos.

Called Animal Airwaves, the new series is set to launch Jan. 31 and will be a collaboration between the UF College of Veterinary Medicine, the UF Veterinary Hospitals and WUFT-FM, 89.1. Segments will cover a range of topics, from the latest developments in patient care capabilities to news-you-can-use to keep pets and people healthy.

The segments will air three times a day, seven days a week. In the near future, a website devoted to Animal Airwaves  will feature written copies of the segments as well as mp3s to download for your listening pleasure.

Stay tuned….and tune your radio dial to FM 89-1!
