K-9 dogs are shown with their handlers in an educational demonstration provided to attendees of 2011's annual CVM Open House.

Planning is currently underway for the UF CVM’s annual Open House, sponsored by the college and the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association. The event will be held April 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the college, and more details will soon be available.

An internal meeting was held Feb. 3 at the college with representatives from administration and SCAVMA to begin planning for the event, which should include some of the longstanding activities Open House is known for: K-9 demonstrations, a teddy bear clinic for the kids, tours of the UF Veterinary Hospitals and much more.

Stay tuned for more information.
