  • A new grading system developed at UF by Dr. David Freeman and colleagues is being used successfully in difficult equine colic cases. This story appeared in HorseTalk, and received mentions in AVMA’s Smart Brief, and elsewhere including the Independent Florida Alligator.
  • A study by Dr. Dennis Brooks that appeared in Veterinary Ophthalmology about the long-term effects of equine cataract surgery was written about in TheHorse and noted in BigNewsNetworks.com.
  • A story about Dr. Maarten Drost being named to the Cattle Production Hall of Fame appeared in Bovine Veterinarian, on the American College of Theriogenology website, on DairyHerd.com, on the Merck Animal Health website, and on the UF Health website.
  • The Gainesville Sun and the Ocala Star-Banner ran a story on a stem cell study being conducted at UF and aimed at dogs with chronic arthritis. The stem cell study was also covered by WCJB-TV, Channel 20.
  • Dr. Dunbar Gram was quoted in a Q and A relating to allergies as part of Steve Dale’s syndicated column, which appeared in The New Citizens Press.
