  • Fear of deer disease leads state to ban imports: Dr. Paul Gibbs, UF CVM professor emeritus of infectious diseases) is quoted in this story in the Ocala Star Banner.
  • Jerky treats linked to pet deaths: Dr. Richard Hill was featured in this story on WCJB (TV 20 News) and in the Alligator.
  • A UF Aquatic Animal Health resident, Dr. Stephen Cassle, was featured in this article from SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment for his surgical removal of two fish hooks from endangered green sea turtles.
  • Dr. Mike Walsh, co-director of the UF Aquatic Animal Health Program, was featured in numerous state and national news accounts after assisting in the euthanasia of a stranded sperm whale near Madiera Beach on Oct. 31. Among the national outlets covering the story were NBC News and CNN as well as state and local news organizations such as the Tampa Bay Times, Bay News 9, the Tampa Tribune, among others.
