  • Fear of deer disease leads state to ban imports: Dr. Paul Gibbs, UF CVM professor emeritus of infectious diseases) is quoted in this story in the Ocala Star Banner.
  • Jerky treats linked to pet deaths: Dr. Richard Hill was featured in this story on WCJB (TV 20 News) and in the Alligator.
  • A UF Aquatic Animal Health resident, Dr. Stephen Cassle, was featured in this article from SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment for his surgical removal of two fish hooks from endangered green sea turtles.
  • Dr. Mike Walsh, co-director of the UF Aquatic Animal Health Program, was featured in numerous state and national news accounts after assisting in the euthanasia of a stranded sperm whale near Madiera Beach on Oct. 31.
