he UFCVM was recently asked by the state veterinarian's office in the Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services to assist in preparing the state in the event of an Ebola outbreak where an animal or animals might need to be quarantined along with their owner, as happened recently in Texas. In this photo, taken in December, Drs. Cynda Crawford, Amandine Lejeune, Julie Levy and Matt Johnson, some of our faculty volunteers, are shown in biohazard suits during a meeting with state officials where plans were reviewed, along with proper donning and doffing of the emergency gear.
