Third-year student receives Dr. Jack Walther Leadership Award

Third year UF College of Veterinary Medicine student Christina Jeffries has received the 2018 Dr. Jack Walther Leadership Award from the Western Veterinary Conference.
The award is presented each year to 36 D.V.M. students from accredited veterinary colleges and schools who are actively demonstrating long-term leadership potential.
Jeffries, a former certified veterinary technician, is also an author and an award-winning speaker on veterinary technology-related topics. She presently is involved with the UF Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Pathology Club.
Each award winner receives $1,000, as well as complimentary registration, lodging and airfare to the conference, along with an additional complimentary registration to a future WVC annual conference.
