Graduate students receive degrees at UF ceremony

Several UF College of Veterinary Medicine graduate students received degrees during the university’s commencement ceremony, held Dec. 15 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Receiving the Ph.D. degree were:

  • Dr. Luiz Bolfer (mentored by Dr. Amara Estrada)
  • Dr. David Dreier (mentored by Drs. Chris Martyniuk and Nancy Denslow)
  • Dr. Nelmarie Landrau Giovannetti (mentored by Dr. Tom Waltzek)
  • Dr. Andy Nelson (mentored by Dr. David Pascual)
  • Dr. Dhani Prakoso (mentored by Dr. Maureen Long)

Receiving M.S. degrees in the thesis-based category were:

  • Dr. Shana Hutchison (mentored by Dr. Rowan Milner)
  • Dr. Valentine Verpaalen (mentored by Dr. Brad Case)

Serving as marshals for the doctoral ceremony were Dr. Sandra Bechtel, Dr. Rosanna Marsella, Dr. Huisheng Xie and Dr. Chris Vulpe. Serving as marshals for the master’s program/bachelor’s commencement ceremony were Dr. Matt Johnson, Dr. Cuong Nguyen and Dr. Apichai Tuanyok.
