Zoetis 2021 Teacher and Researcher of the Year Named

Dr. Luisito Pablo and Dr. Leah Reznikov were recently named as the UF College of Veterinary Medicine’s winners of the 2021 Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teacher Award and the Zoetis Award for Veterinary Research Excellence, respectively.

Pablo, a clinical professor of anesthesiology at UFCVM, received the 2021 Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teacher Award, which is given to educators in recognition of their character and leadership qualities as well as their outstanding teaching abilities. Reznikov, an assistant professor of physiological sciences, received the Zoetis Award for Veterinary Research Excellence, given to recognize researchers whose innovative studies have advanced the scientific standing of veterinary medicine.

Congratulations to them both!

Zoetis 2021 Teaching, Research Excellence Honorees Named

Zoetis has honored Drs. Luisito Pablo and Leah Reznikov for their teaching and research talents, respectively.

New AKC-funded theriogenology resident reflects on first year

Dr. Anum Ahmed, a graduate of Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, was the inaugural recipient of the AKC-funded residency.

Using CRISPR techniques allowed the team to rapidly screen host genes and identify the few key genes that promote coronavirus infections in mammals.
