Dr. Adam Stern, a professor of forensic pathology at the UF College of Veterinary Medicine, has received the 2022 President’s Award from the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.

The award was presented on November 15 during the ACVP’s annual meeting in Boston, and is given to individuals providing notably valuable service to the organization that clearly exceeds normal expectations.  He received the award for his efforts to develop and implement a fellowship program in veterinary forensic pathology

“I am truly grateful for this award,” Stern said. “The development of an ACVP-supported fellowship program could not have been done without the help of all the members on the organization’s veterinary forensic pathology task force.”

He added, “The implementation of this fellowship program will allow us to formally recognize those board-certified veterinary pathologists with expertise in veterinary forensic pathology.”
