Congratulations to nine UF College of Veterinary Medicine staff members who received 2023 Superior Accomplishment Awards in the UF Health Science Center’s Division 5 category, which includes all six health-related colleges.

The Superior Accomplishment Awards program recognizes faculty and staff who contribute outstanding service, or who have created an impact on the quality of life provided to students and employees, rewarding each recipient for dedication to their jobs and for going above and beyond to advance the mission of UF.

Each winner received a cash award of $200 and will be considered as nominees for university-level awards, which offer eight $1,000 and eight $2,000 cash prizes.

The college’s awardees were honored March 20 at UF’s annual Superior Accomplishment Awards luncheon and ceremony at the Hilton University of Florida.

And the winners are:

Category 1 – Clerical Office Support:

  • Alice Bliss-Dodd, purchasing assistant
  • Kyle Larson, academic assistant, department of comparative, diagnostic and population medicine
  • Morgan Rhoden, administrative support assistant, department of small animal clinical sciences
  • Lynn Varner, program assistant

Category 3 – Scientific/Technical:

  • Wendy Davies, veterinary technician, integrative medicine service, UF Small Animal Hospital

Category 4 – Administrative/Supervisory:

  • Laurel Arnold, administrative specialist, department of physiological sciences
  • Sarah Bell, outcomes and assessment coordinator, office for academic and student affairs
  • Melissa Pett, academic program specialist, office for academic and student affairs

Category 5 – Administrative/Professional:

  • Rachel Koepsel, assistant director of career services, office for academic and student affairs

Adrian Montford, of UF Health IT, works at the college and also received a Superior Accomplishment Award in Division 2.
