Longtime CVM employees honored for service

Four longtime UF College of Veterinary Medicine employees were honored Feb. 1 at the annual UF Service Recognition Reception, sponsored by the Office for the Vice President of Human Resources.
Honored were Kelly Kirkendall-Merritt, 35 years; Lynn Varner, 30 years; Carolyn Whitford, 30 years; and Wendy Davies, 25 years.
Kirkendall-Merritt is a senior biological scientist with the department of large animal clinical sciences. Varner is a certified veterinary technician who serves as the referral coordinator with the UF Small Animal Hospital. Davies is a certified veterinary technician with the integrative medicine and mobility service and Whitford was an IT project manager associated with the department of large animal clinical sciences and the Food Animal Residue Avoidance Databank, or FARAD, before her recent retirement.
