Got art? An upcoming art auction sponsored by the UF Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association, set to take  place Nov. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Banfield Room of the UF Small Animal Hospital, should present the perfect opportunity to decorate your home abode or choose the perfect holiday gift of an original artistic creation.

“Artwork donated by students, faculty, staff and supporters of the college are auctioned off and baskets donated by local business and clubs are raffled off,” said Kirstin Cook, SCAVMA’s fundraising chair. “Our annual art auction is one of the biggest events that we host in an effort to raise funds to support SCAVMA so that it can in turn provide opportunities for networking and professional development to students.”

All proceeds will be used to support the activities of SCAVMA and participating clubs. This includes scholarships, funds for externships,  travel to meetings and sponsorship for outside speakers on educational and professional development topics.

Anyone wishing to donate or having questions about the event should contact Cook by email at cookk@ufl.edu or by phone at 716-462-0050.
